Annual Spaghetti Dinner
Every year, on the first Saturday in March, the Valatie Fire Department holds it's annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser. Preparation begins months in advance. In the weeks leading up to the dinner, supplies are donated or bought, volunteers matched to specific duties and clean-up details planned. On the Thursday night before the dinner, firefighters, auxiliary members and friends give the firehouse a thorough cleaning. Cooking begins early in the morning on the day of the dinner and set-up starts around 10:00 AM. By 3:00 PM everything is just about ready for the first hungry customers to walk through the door when serving starts at 4:00 PM. The community has generously supported this dinner since its inception and for that we thank you.
